No standard script. No PowerPoint karaoke.
Every training starts with your situation and is built around what you actually need. Here's how I approach that, what you can expect and why it works.
How a custom engagement works
Every engagement starts with a short conversation. Not a formal intake, just to understand:
- Where are you right now?
- What's stuck or what do you want to improve?
- Who's in the room, and what's their level?
From there, I put together a learning route: a clear structure with room to move along the way. All training formats I offer follow this principle.
Understanding over completeness
In my sessions, understanding matters more than covering everything. Details only gain value when the structure is sound.
We work towards the point where you can explain what's happening yourself. Not just follow the steps.
What always comes back
- A clear learning route with a shared destination
- Regular checks on understanding, tested not assumed
- Room for real-world questions within the structure
- Active participation, no passive listening
- Focus on applying what you've learned after the session
Going off-piste is fine, when it's functional
Questions from your day-to-day are welcome, even when they fall outside the planned topic. We only take those detours when they help the next step land better.
Differences in level are normal and won't be glossed over. Understanding is explicitly tested. Faster participants help bring others along. Nobody moves on until the group shares the foundation.
Energy and enjoyment
Learning can be serious, the atmosphere doesn't have to be. Energy and enjoyment make mistakes discussable and keep attention sharp on complex topics. This is something I've developed over the years, closely tied to how I think about data.
Sound familiar? Tell me what's going on, let's see if and how this could work.
